Recognize the people and pets in your life:

  • Honor the life of a family member, friend, or pet who has passed. Creating a memorial can be an incredibly healing and rewarding way to honor the life of loved one.

  • Celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, wedding, or other special events

  • Make a dedication to your loved ones and have a room, kennel, or outdoor space named in their honor at Driftless Humane Society.

  • Give holiday gifts in honor of your friends and family

  • Acknowledge a good deed or encourage someone special

 

YOU WANT TO LEAVE A LEGACY TO BENEFIT ANIMALS AFTER YOUR LIFETIME:

By designating Driftless Humane Society as a beneficiary in your estate plan, you’ll leave a meaningful legacy of care and compassion for animals for generations to come.

Some ideas include giving from a stock transfer, life insurance policy, investment account, retirement plan, donor-advised fund, or by designation in a will, trust, or other estate planning.

We encourage you to consult with your attorney or financial planner to learn about how you can provide a legacy while also reducing your taxes.

If you are in the estate planning process, here is a brief sample bequest language that may assist you and your attorney:

“I give to Driftless Humane Society, a nonprofit corporation currently located at 1150 Nelson Parkway, Viroqua, WI 54665, __ [list percentage of the estate, specific dollar amount, or description of property here] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”
